Program Overview
KIDMED is the screening component of Louisiana’s Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Program. EPSDT provides preventive health screening, diagnosis, and treatment services for suspected vision, hearing, dental and medical problems. EPSDT services are available to Medicaid-eligible children up to the age of 21.

Residents
Louisiana residents must be enrolled in the Louisiana Medicaid program to be a part of KIDMED.

If a child is enrolled in Medicaid, but is not enrolled in the KIDMED Program, please call the Louisiana KIDMED Toll-Free Hotline at 800.259.4444.

If the child is not enrolled in Louisiana Medicaid, apply online at the Louisiana Medicaid Online Application Center.

Providers
Medical providers must first be enrolled in Louisiana Medicaid to take part in KIDMED.
